You and I have Emotions at Work, and it’s all Perfect

A long time ago, someone told me that my partner was very emotional at work, and for years I had lived with the misbelief that being emotional at your work was a wrong thing.

However, since I started my own business, I have understood that it is in fact a very positive trait to have your emotions attached to your work. Emotions are the core of doing a job for a long period and still not getting burnt out. These are a few of the sentiments that I proudly carry at my work. I believe that they can pave the way for one’s success.

Love and Joy

I love to do what I do & I love to pose also

Love is the first sentiment that you need to really deliver high-quality work. You should love what you do and your work should not solely be a compulsion.

I totally savour the work I do, and my clients often tell me that they can see my love for my work even through the screen. It gives me an extreme level of thrill to organise events, this is extremely fun for me. My goal to host all the large companies and to be known across them keeps me on my toes.

I pretty much love every part of my work, but I just wish someone else could handle my tax and finance work. And let me tell you that I did my master’s in finance and IT, double major with a gold medal. It makes me smile how little I knew myself.

Of course, things get stressful several times, but I still love what I do. There are times when I am working at 3 am in Berlin as I am hosting events in the United States Time Zones, and it gets super busy, especially during the holiday season. I am always asked how I could be up for dancing late at night, but the truth is the moment I have my clients with me I feel over the top.

Empathy and Kindness

As long as there is an option to be kind, I will always go for it.

The emotions that I learnt to respect the most after I started working are empathy and kindness.

The genuine niceness where you don’t have to force gentleness is of utmost importance to me.

Long ago, I read The Charisma Myth by Olivia Fox Cabane, where she described the various kinds of charismas that people carry, and mine was kindness.

Most people write to me that they appreciate how Kind I am. And it comes more from my associates and my team.

The more I work, the more I develop an understanding towards people, and I can keep an open mind to tricky situations others might be in.

Isn't it easy to work with people who would empathise with us?

Gratitude

I am beholden to my friends and family who always help me with their great ideas to make the work bigger

Every client and every event makes me feel so grateful for all the lovely work that I get to do. I feel more than grateful to have discovered this work I am naturally good at and that I truly enjoy.

I have been incredibly lucky to be able to host a range of big companies and to meet humble people even at the topmost positions.

My customers have always returned the emotions of gratitude and happily recommended our events even though they weren’t obliged to do so. Their gracious gestures have made me appreciate the work even more.

Every day when you go to your work, you need not leave your emotions behind. You need to make sure that you are aware of your emotions and that your decisions are taken with calmness and assertiveness.

Emotions of anger, sadness, and disappointment can’t be separated from your true self. However, you make every effort to not let them dominate the optimism life offers.

It’s my family and friends who always help me to bounce back quicker, stronger, and better whenever I'm a little less ‘me’. I definitely read a lot to make sure that I value the right emotions and fearlessly wear them on my sleeves.
