Hosting your teams is my thrill
I recently found myself battling COVID-19. The virus had taken hold of me, and my body was responding with a feverish heat combined with uneasy head spins. In an attempt to comfort my restless mind, I put on a song—a melancholic melody full of love.
As the lyrics of the song filled the silence, I anxiously began to contemplate the profound question that often lingers in the minds of those facing illness: What if this is my last day on Earth? My heart ached at the thought of sadness that would envelop my loved ones and my team at Kitty Party would be left confused without my presence.
Yet, amid the tears and anxiety, I realised the significance of cherished moments shared with family, friends, and colleagues. Tears welled in my eyes as I surrendered to the overwhelming emotions. The fear of the unknown, the fragility of life—it all felt painfully real. What did I want my legacy to be? Was this the end?
I found the answer in the happiness I had bestowed upon others. I've always been empathetic to other people’s pain, driven by an innate desire to spread happiness. Through Kitty Party, I had the privilege of bringing joy to people during their lowest by hosting online and offline events team-building and corporate events for teams from all over the globe. The words of those whose hearts I had touched resonated within me—a traveller feeling less homesick, a COVID patient finding solace in a virtual team-building event. My team and I have worked tirelessly to ensure that every person attending our events experiences boundless joy.
Understanding the hardships faced by my partner and friends in the corporate world, I yearn for them to find contentment in their work. At Kitty Party, we've created an environment where work becomes an expression of individual strengths, a collection of authentic moments.
I wholeheartedly believe in the magic of bringing joy to others. It's a ripple effect that can shape lives. Reflecting on my own childhood, I realize that it's not the big events that linger in memory but the small, cherished moments—racing with my father, sharing noodles with my sister, sipping imaginary tea with my grandfather, or receiving surprise slippers as a gift from my mother.
My mission is crystal clear: to establish an organization that infuses people's lives with happy moments. While we can't control the entirety of someone's life, we can certainly contribute to their happiness in meaningful ways. This is the legacy I aspire to leave behind.
